The Polish Pavilion was opened on 1 May 2010 during a festive ceremony in the exhibition area of EXPO 2010 Shanghai. Poland perceives its participation in the World Exhibition EXPO 2010 Shanghai as a unique opportunity to promote its economy and cultural and scientific achievements in the nearest decades. EXPO 2010 Shanghai will also play a significant role in intensifying cooperation between the two countries in many areas, which is expected to result in increased Chinese investment in Poland, export of Polish products to China, and numbers of Chinese tourists and students in Poland.
